英國(guó)萊普頓公學(xué)是一所有著463年辦學(xué)歷史的著名學(xué)校，在世界各地也具有豐富的建校辦學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)，在新加坡、迪拜、阿布扎比等均開(kāi)設(shè)了眾多海外分校。

Principal Tom: 

Repton School in the UK is a prestigious school with a 463-year history and Repton International has experience in building and running schools around the world. It has established many overseas branches in Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc.

As the earliest private education group in China, Chiway Education has developed into a leader in domestic private education after more than 20 years of hard work. At present, the group has more than 10 directly owned colleges and universities, serving more than 15,000 students, and is in partnership with an additional 30 colleges and universities with around 20,000 students.

華銳萊普頓是一所美麗而先進(jìn)的學(xué)校，為學(xué)生探索世界提供資源，幫助他們最大限度地發(fā)揮自己的能力。除了部分裝備精良的教室外，我們還有先進(jìn)的物理、生物、化學(xué)和科學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)室、藝術(shù)和設(shè)計(jì)工作室、國(guó)學(xué)教室、茶道教室、恒溫游泳池、設(shè)備齊全的體育館、學(xué)生休息室、演講廳、黑箱劇場(chǎng)和電視演播室等等。在室外，我們有一個(gè)大型足球場(chǎng)和多功能運(yùn)動(dòng)場(chǎng)，定制的校園是我們?yōu)槊總�(gè)學(xué)生提供優(yōu)質(zhì)教育的重要一環(huán)。

About School Hardware Facility

Regarding the progress of our campus construction, the first phase of our school has been completed, and some faculty and staff have settled in the campus. The epidemic situation has gradually improved. If conditions permit, parents are expected to visit the school in April. We want to learn more about campus facilities, can Tom give us a brief introduction first?

Chiway Repton has invested in a beautiful and advanced school to provide students with resources to explore the world and help them maximize their capabilities. In addition to well-equipped classrooms, we also have advanced Physics, Biology, Chemistry and General Science Labs, Art and Design Studios, Chinese Studies Classrooms, Tea Ceremony Classrooms, Heated Swimming Pools, Fully Equipped Gymnasiums, Student Lounges, Lecture Halls, Black Box Theater and TV Studios, etc. We also have large outdoor football fields and multifunctional sports fields as custom-built campuses are an important part of providing high-quality education for every student.

What are the criteria for selecting teachers in Chiway Repton School Xiamen? What kind of international teachers do we have?

Principal Tom: 

In order to present a high-quality classroom, we select excellent teachers from all over the world. About 50% of our international teachers are excellent foreign teachers from the UK, the US，Canada, Australia and other countries. They all have master's degrees and years of teaching management experience.All of our teaching leaders and backbone teachers are from all over our country and are required to have bilingual teaching skills as well as an international perspective and intercultural communication skills. Our long-term development and training plan will also continue to recruit outstanding graduates or returnees from key domestic universities.All of our Chinese teachers are required to have bilingual teaching skills as well as an international perspective and intercultural communication skills. Our teachers also undergo rigorous interviews and background checks to ensure the safety of children on campus. Teachers at Chiway Repton School Xiamen are kind, intelligent and experienced, emphasizing interaction rather than cramming, which means that teachers and students are required to solve problems through discussion and communication, guided on the basis of mutual respect.

剛才我們談到教師要與學(xué)生互動(dòng)（Interact），同時(shí)也是培養(yǎng)我們的學(xué)生成為獨(dú)立型學(xué)習(xí)者（Independent Learners），在華銳萊普頓，所有的學(xué)生都能學(xué)到最好的一課是如何獨(dú)立學(xué)習(xí)，這是一種能夠跟隨孩子一生的財(cái)富，孩子們不是“杯子”，不是只需要填滿它就夠了。

What kind of students are Chiway Repton looking for, and how will the school cultivate them?

Principal Tom: 

Just now we talked about the teachers’ interaction with students and this applies to our students as we help them develop into independent learners. At Chiway Repton School Xiamen, the best lesson that every student could have is how to learn independently, which is a gift that will keep on giving throughout life. Children are not "cups" to wait passively to be filled up with information.

Chiway Repton School Xiamen will guide students to develop the skills required for success in learning and to continuously improve and reuse them in their learning and working careers. There is an old Chinese saying, "Teaching a man to fish is better than giving him a fish". Similarly, if we train students to learn the skills they need, instead of telling them this knowledge directly, they will be able to learn anything and learn for the rest of their lives. We encourage students to actively participate in classroom activities not just sit and stare at the teacher. Students must grasp the initiative, take responsibility for their own learning and ask key questions when needed. Therefore, Chiway Repton School Xiamen aims to train independent, proactive and engaged students who can express their own ideas.

家長(zhǎng)們?cè)谥�前的宣講會(huì)對(duì)于ECA十分感興趣，什么是ECA，孩子們?cè)谌A銳萊普頓能獲得什么樣的ECA課外活動(dòng)？

Tom校長(zhǎng)：

ECA是Extra Curricular Activities，“ECA課外活動(dòng)”是體現(xiàn)個(gè)人軟實(shí)力的重要部分，豐富的課外活動(dòng)是學(xué)習(xí)之余的一種調(diào)節(jié)，孩子們可以嘗試新鮮事物和結(jié)交新的朋友，在嘗試不同新事物的同時(shí)，孩子們會(huì)對(duì)于自己喜歡和不喜歡的方向有更深刻的理解，這對(duì)于尋找自身興趣點(diǎn)和職業(yè)生涯的規(guī)劃有很大的幫助。
