The Origin of the Frisbee

19 世紀(jì)末，美國(guó)面包師William Russell Frisbie開(kāi)了一家叫做Frisbie餐廳，他制作的餡餅深受周邊大學(xué)生的歡迎，用餐結(jié)束后學(xué)生們經(jīng)常通過(guò)相互投擲圓形的餡餅包裝盒來(lái)進(jìn)行娛樂(lè)。

 

At the end of the 19th century, American baker William Russell Frisbie opened a restaurant called Frisbie. His pies were very popular among the surrounding college students. After the meal, the students often played with each other by throwing round pie boxes at each other.

由于包裝盒上印有“Frisbie”的 logo，所以學(xué)生們會(huì)在投擲時(shí)大喊“Frisbie”來(lái)提醒其他人注意躲避。“Frisbie（或者 Frisbee）”這個(gè)名稱也一直沿用至今。

When playing the game, athletes will sprint, change direction, turn back, jump, catch the Frisbee, and sometimes rush into it. They need to pass it to their teammates accurately. If they miss it, they need to be in defense immediately. It can be said that Frisbee is a sport that requires athletes to pass the Frisbee like basketball, run like playing football, earn scores like playing rugby. It is sport of speed, power and vigor.
