ISS Global Community Connection

自1955年成立以來，ISS一直積極與全球各主要領(lǐng)域的合作伙伴，包括教育工作者、企業(yè)、非營利組織和政府實(shí)體等合作，以加強(qiáng)國際教育，并致力于建立有意義的合作關(guān)系。AXIS作為ISS大家庭的重要成員，將大力推動(dòng)廈門國際教育與ISS全球社區(qū)網(wǎng)絡(luò)的有效聯(lián)通。

Since its inception in 1955, ISS has worked with diverse partners – educators, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government entities – to strengthen international education, and to establish meaningful relationships. As a member of the ISS family, AXIS is a bridge between Xiamen international school education and the ISS global community.

  國際課程

International Curriculum

我校采用與美國共同核心標(biāo)準(zhǔn)（common core) 相融合的國際文憑課程（IB）的PYP和DP探究式教學(xué)以及美國大學(xué)預(yù)科課程（AP）。課程在全球諸多ISS國際學(xué)校已獲得成功與廣泛認(rèn)可。

AXIS will offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) PYP and DP program guided by the American Common Core standards, as well as the Collage board’s Advanced Placement (AP). This curriculum has been successfully and widely recognized in many ISS international schools around the world.

Faculty Group

ISS在國際教育界中的良好口碑和資源使AXIS得以招募到優(yōu)秀的外籍教育專家來實(shí)施管理和教學(xué)，AXIS只委任最優(yōu)秀且經(jīng)驗(yàn)最豐富的教育專家及教育管理人士，大部分海外教師來自北美和歐洲國家。他們具有豐富的國際教學(xué)和研究經(jīng)驗(yàn)并獲得國際權(quán)威機(jī)構(gòu)認(rèn)證。絕大多數(shù)老師持有海外重點(diǎn)院校相關(guān)專業(yè)碩士或更高學(xué)位。每位教育專家均出色勝任其教學(xué)或科研領(lǐng)域的工作。

The world class reputation and resources of ISS in the field of international education empowers AXIS to recruit remarkably talented foreign education experts to provide an inquiry-based learning experience for students. AXIS appoints dedicated, experienced and highly-qualified faculty and educational administrators, most of whom are from North America and European countries. Faculty have diverse experiences in international schools around the world and are accredited by international authorities. Most faculty hold master's or higher degrees in related fields from overseas universities.

Student Agency

作為一所學(xué)生中心化的學(xué)校，我們實(shí)施探究式教學(xué)，教師通過提問和探索現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中的例子來引導(dǎo)學(xué)生，從而引導(dǎo)學(xué)生積極進(jìn)行調(diào)查，自發(fā)對信息進(jìn)行探索并構(gòu)建意義。我們相信，學(xué)生的主動(dòng)參與對培養(yǎng)其學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)驅(qū)力至關(guān)重要。

At AXIS, learning is an active process led by inquiry, curiosity and collaboration; promoting agency, self-efficacy and action. The AXIS curriculum is student centered; students are at the center of everything we do. Guided by the teacher, students are provided with opportunities to seek meaningful connections in the community and the world. Teachers create the conditions for curiosity in which students draw upon what they are learning, ask thoughtful questions and seek out answers to construct meaning. We believe that students’ active engagement plays a critical role in the development of their motivation to learn.

Technology Integration

AXIS是Apple School，學(xué)校的所有學(xué)習(xí)背后都有著針對性的科技支持，學(xué)生作為數(shù)字公民，享有科技所賦予廣闊的學(xué)習(xí)資源。我們利用科技引導(dǎo)學(xué)生活動(dòng)，并利用多媒體課堂活動(dòng)來支持多種學(xué)習(xí)途徑。我們教授學(xué)生使用方法，讓他們理解何時(shí)以及如何使用各種技術(shù)平臺(tái)和設(shè)備。TPACK框架和ISTE標(biāo)準(zhǔn)都是國際公認(rèn)的框架，能夠有效支持科技與課程內(nèi)容的結(jié)合。常識(shí)媒體和ISTE資源支持著我們的學(xué)生成為數(shù)字公民，確保學(xué)生在所有互動(dòng)中安全、道德和合法地運(yùn)用科技。

AXIS is a one-to-one Apple iPad and Macbook school. All learning across the school is supported by the purposeful integration of technology allowing for students to be empowered learners and digital citizens. Technology, pedagogy and curriculum are thoughtfully interwoven. The one-to-one device program supports students to construct social learning, guides student agency, and supports multiple pathways to mastery. We create experiences for learners to make positive, socially responsible contributions and exhibit empathetic behavior online that builds relationships and community.

專業(yè)的升學(xué)與職業(yè)生涯規(guī)劃指導(dǎo)

Professional Guidance: 

college entrance and career planning

AXIS為學(xué)生提供專業(yè)的職業(yè)生涯專業(yè)指導(dǎo)，學(xué)生進(jìn)入高中階段即可享有職業(yè)生涯指導(dǎo)咨詢服務(wù)，并根據(jù)自己的興趣或?qū)９シ较颍�獲取關(guān)于如何實(shí)現(xiàn)目標(biāo)的最專業(yè)指導(dǎo)與規(guī)劃，真正實(shí)現(xiàn)以目標(biāo)為導(dǎo)向的學(xué)習(xí)規(guī)劃與設(shè)計(jì)。建立良好的人際關(guān)系對學(xué)生的成長與成功至關(guān)重要，因此，我校將采用CASEL（美國芝加哥伊利諾伊大學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)、社會(huì)與情緒學(xué)習(xí)協(xié)同作用）框架來進(jìn)行一對一的輔導(dǎo)支持。

The goal for every student at AXIS is to continue their learning and AXIS supports each student’s journey to find a best fit, post-secondary learning environment. In partnership with the school counselors, students explore their goals, strengths, interests, culture and family values, and educational objectives. The counseling program supports students to achieve success in school and develop into contributing members of our local and international community.  Building strong relationships is critical to students' growth and success, therefore, through the CASEL (Collaborative Academic, Social and Emotional Learning) framework students are taught five developmentally progressive social emotional competencies. The five competencies are cooperation, assertiveness, responsibility, empathy and self control.

AXIS學(xué)校將擁有一流的教學(xué)環(huán)境和設(shè)施，由英國頂尖設(shè)計(jì)師設(shè)計(jì)，采用符合國際環(huán)保標(biāo)準(zhǔn)材料，在保證安全的前提下，設(shè)計(jì)充分考量與滿足師生們在教學(xué)、活動(dòng)及生活上對于空間的日常與文化需求，創(chuàng)建一個(gè)實(shí)用性與藝術(shù)感兼?zhèn)涞沫h(huán)境。建筑的美會(huì)潛移默化地影響孩子審美能力，我們力求打造一個(gè)安全且舒適的最美校園。

Through the distinctive design of the learning spaces on the state-of-the-art campus, AXIS has reinvented school. In collaboration with top United Kingdom designers and built with materials conforming to the international environmental projection standard, the design of the learning spaces supports active learning in a flexible ecosystem. Inspired by Chinese culture, the design creates a safe environment, meeting the pedagogical and cultural needs of teachers and students in school life. The holistic learning landscapes are a powerful learning tool acting as a catalyst for curiosity and exploration in a safe and welcoming environment.

Parent Community

AXIS致力于與家長建立真實(shí)可信的合作伙伴關(guān)系。家校配合將使信息得到更好的共享與相通，家長能更好地參與孩子的發(fā)展進(jìn)步和生活表現(xiàn)。加入AXIS意味著參與到我們的教育體系。

Our approach to school is community based. From a student’s first step onto the AXIS campus, they are supported by a strong community that will be with them even past their graduation. We actively and purposefully establish partnerships with AXIS families to ensure a relevant and engaging educational program. We invest in building strong and sustained relationships that will build a sense of belonging and benefit all members of our community. We believe parent involvement in school life is an important factor for the success of every AXIS student.
